Dear
Players and Parents,
A
few notes from the Director of Coaching and Coach Swan:
As
the Tennessee High School season nears the final weeks
we would like to make you aware of the coming plans
regarding the High School Girls. Through the fall we
have had a number of the High School girls who play on
the Virginia side, or in private schools, train with us
one day per week preparing for when all the girls get
together at the end of the high school season.
We
are looking forward to welcoming back the Tennessee
girls both new and old as we endeavor to go forward with
our plan of taking a group/s to a showcase tournament
this fall. The tournament we are planning to attend is
the Norcross Nike Cup in Atlanta Georgia which is being
held December 5th & 6th.
In
order for us to carry out this plan it is essential that
all players who wish to be considered register online at
http://www.sportssignup.com/Fusion-Futbol-Club-Online-Registration.start
by Friday Oct 9. By registering online you
are committing to play for Fusion for the 2009/10
season. This will in turn give us an idea of who and
what numbers we have and therefore will allow us to make
a decision on whether or not we can commit to the event
as the deadline for the tournament entry is Oct 10.
The
plan after Oct 10 will be as follows:
v
Virginia/Private School Girls will continue one day per
week until Oct 25th
v
Oct
25th First Practice which will double as a
tryout. To be held at White Top 3pm. Nov 1st
will be the back up day, in case of bad weather, for the
first practice/ tryout
v
Practice twice per week from Nov 2 until Norcross
Tournament*
v
Break for Christmas
v
January & February Indoor Soccer
v
March begin Spring Season till end of May
* In
the event that the interest is not there for the
showcase tournament evidenced by a lack of appropriate
registrations by Oct 9 we will continue with one day per
week practices until Thanksgiving.
Important: deadline to register if you wish to be
considered for showcase tournament is Friday Oct 9
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Declan Jogi
